Bespoke coding for websites and web applications can be carried out, either for complete sites or for more complex parts of existing sites.
If you have requirements that don’t fit an “out of the box” package you may find yourself needing an experienced programmer to support your project.

Musicalchairs aims to provide an international platform for organisations such as orchestras to advertise vacancies online and find the best candidates. In addition courses, masterclasses, competitions are advertised on the site. Directories of orchestras and musicians are available and coverage is worldwide.
The site is coded using PHP, and although third party libraries are used extensively, the site is running on a bespoke platform developed with regard to the niche market that Musicalchairs serves.
Mountain Rescue Xero integration
My latest work for Mountain Rescue England and Wales involved a reskinning of their website. As part of this their ‘Basecamp’ supporter’s group subscription process required moving from their online Magento shop to the main site. Previously a Magento plugin had provided integration with the Xero accounting system, but now bespoke code was required to be integrated with the MODx website. Customer information is saved as well as whether the customer opts to have a recurring or one-off subscription.
WordPress plugins for ilre.com
As part of the development of ilre.com, some plugins were required to extend and enhance the existing functionality of WordPress and the Genesis Framework. This included a bespoke property search facility and currency conversion facility using currency conversion data feeds from Yahoo.
Goblin Parking booking system
Scend Studios in Bristol developed this website using MODx for Goblin Combe Farm airport parking and required the coding of a bespoke booking system. No existing ‘plugins’ were suitable and I was engaged to develop this part of the site. Users can make online bookings, create accounts so that their details are remembered for future bookings, and print out their tickets prior to arrival. SMS messages are sent as reminders for customers as the booking date approaches.
